Kyrgyz Ombudsman: “Young specialists who work in mounteneous areas must get allowances fully”
Chairman of healthcare trading union of Batken region Mrs Kochkorova sent a letter to the Kyrgyz Ombudsman.
In her letter she wrote that according to the par. 2 art. 11 of the law of the Kyrgyz Republic on state warranties and allowances for those who live and work in mountainous areas young men and women who are not older then 28 years old and who work in mountainous areas percent surcharge to the basic salary are fully paid from the first day of work. But it not like that.
Office of Kyrgyz Ombudsman has sent a letter to the Health ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic to give a detailed info on that issue.
Later the reply came. In their letter health ministry staff said that 5 percent allowance is fully paid from the first day of work.
But according the governmental decree the aforesaid allowance is paid only for the those who have 5 years work experience.
Office of Kyrgyz Ombudsman having analyzed that letter pointed out that rights are violated.
Kyrgyz Ombudsman has sent a letter on remedial actions to the Prime Minister Mr Jeenbekov with a request to bring the decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on state support for those who live and work in mountainous areas of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with the art. 11 of the law of the Kyrgyz Republic on the state warranties and allowances for those who live and work in mountainous areas. The аim of that action is to protect human rights of young specialists.
